Across the last several weeks, Monticello employees participated in financial literacy education courses, developed through a partnership with the High Water Women organization and a public New York City high school.
The financial literacy program focuses on providing education to low income youth and adult communities and developing essential financial skills. Learning the fundamentals behind earning an income, taxation, budgeting, savings, the implications of debt, and avoiding predatory businesses helps position students for a more secure financial future. The Monticello team truly enjoyed sharing their knowledge and time with the students and watching them learn and grow!
